HELLLLLOOOOOOO friends and family!!!

Hope your week was amazing! This week was great! We finished off the Chinese New Year with a lot of food! We are so blessed to have such generous ward that is willing to feed us and take care of us. We are never in need of anything here. ZhuBei is such a good place to serve!

This week we met with a bunch of amazing people. One of them was Sister Peng! We love her so much. She is preparing for baptism and she is literally the perfect investigator. She comes to every lesson prepared with questions and she is trying so hard to change her life so she can become closer to God. We are so excited to keep meeting with her!

But, the biggest thing that happened this week was TRANSFERS! My amazing companion and trainer got transferred! :( There were a lot of sad emotions as we packed her bags and said our goodbyes. I learned so much from her and we saw a lot of miracles in our two transfers together. We helped each other a lot and grew together as missionaries and friends. I will miss her so much but I know her next companion needs her just as much as I did! LOVE HER!

My new companion is Sister Jensen! She is from Mapleton Utah and she has been in Taiwan for 9 months! We have had a couple days together and we are loving life! We have been doing some very serious language study and we are both improving a lot! I'm excited to see what happens this next transfer!

In closing, I just wanted to share my testimony on blessings! I have been reading the Book of Mormon this past few weeks and have just been marking promised blessings. There are SO MANY! God loves us so much and just wants to give us blessings. All we need to do is be faithful and diligent! :)

Love you all so much!

Hello Friends and Family!

Can I just say, this week was crazy! I hit my six month mark ! It's amazing how fast time flies by. It seems like it was just last week that I was leaving home...when in reality it's been a solid six months. I can say I miss everyone very very much. I am also loving the work more then ever as well. We are working with some pretty amazing people.

This is what my comp has to say about this week! " It's easy for me to say that for the past week I have been 110% full. Not a single bit hungry. Yep. Here's why. The work here in ZhuBei has come to nearly a COMPLETE halt because of Chinese New Year. Everyone has gone home for the holiday, or all the people who are here are packed away into their homes with all their family members by their side. So .. us missionaries' schedules took a dramatic twist as all our investigators have left ZhuBei for the week and no one else in the city wants to meet with us until "AFTER GUONIAN". But, don't worry ! We're still busy ;) We have some amazing members here in Taiwan. About a month ago they started passing around a sign-up sheet for who would be willing to feed the missionaries throughout this whole week. And, it was definitely a success. We have been fed lunch and dinner every day for nearly a week. And, I'm not talkin' about PB&J sandwiches and a small bag of chips folks. I'm talkin' meals the size of American Thanksgivings ... but every day for lunch and dinner and then they send us home with leftovers. The moment we're done at one home we head on over to the next (not a single bit hungry) and eat another serving meant for a giant. It's awesome ... but kind of painful at the same time ... That has pretty much been the whole week. In between all the eating there has just been a lot of cleaning. Our mission is doing a deep clean of apartments throughout this slow time of year "

Basically it's been slow but so fun at the same time. We are loving life here in Taiwan. Check out the pictures below to see a little more about my week!

Love you all!

Hi Friends and Family!

Hope you all had a amazing week!

We had a fun week full of random stuff going down haha The rough part about serving here in the beautiful country of Taiwan is that Chinese New Year is right around the corner, and no one wants to meet with the missionaries with 過年快到了。No worries though, we still kept busy ;) Our week looked a little something like this ;)

- We went to dinner with one of our sweet members and she qinged us Japanese food !! The main talk of the meal was the earthquakes ;) Over the past week we've had quite a few through out Taiwan. The biggest was last Tuesday night, we were hit with a 6.4. My companion and I probably looked pretty pathetic, we only panicked a little ;) haha Our friends all over Taiwan are doing well though. Poor Hualian had to evacuate and sleep under desks at the chapel ... so ... I'm only a lottle happy that I'm moved away from that coast for the time being ;) All is well here though, and the news made for some easy conversation on the streets ;) We sure are blessed !

- This last Wednesday my companion and I were approved to use Facebook in order to spread the news of our new English Class website !! : taiwaneng.com Feel free to take a look and share with any friends from Taiwan you have ;) :D It's incredible how fast news spreads through the internet. As the website has made it's way around, we've had thousands of people view it every day, and there have been hundreds of people signing up to not only learn English, but to learn about the gospel as well :) It's incredible. Such a blessing that we have English Class as a finding method and technology to help push it forward !!

-Friday was  a busy one for us !! We started off the morning by visiting our investigator at a DIY event she was holding ! There, we got to meet her friends and family members over cake and other snacks ;) It was a DIY on skin care and eye brow art ;) But, the best part of being there was being able to gain 2 new potentials through it all. Our investigator's friend and older sister both gave us their LINEs so we can continue to share <3 It's amazing how just supporting our friend at her event helped us share the gospel !

-Friday night was also a fun one as our killer elders put on a basketball tournament for the community. We had 12 teams of 3 members sign up !!! In all the people that came, there was 1 investigator and all the others were non-members !!! So, by the end of the 3 on 3 tournament the elders had set up with a solid 6 or 7 of those that came. Thus gaining 6 or 7 new investigators in the long run !! Just cuz they invited them to come ball up !! It was a great finding method and a fun night as well. It's always great being surrounded by great missionaries; the elders worked hard and really reaped the rewards of all they did. Hey, there was even ONE girl there to support her friends ;) She was cute ... not interested ;) ... but cute !! haha :D

- Now, let me tell ya about our adorable Chen Jie Mei ;) We were blessed to see her at church this Sunday for the 10th time ;) She's killing it, and loves the learning atmosphere at church. She loves sacrament meeting and learns so much there. It's amazing how just a few months ago she had no idea it even existed, but now she's a regular and she's seeing the gospel change her life one week at a time. She's progressing well as she's coming to say her own sincere prayers. She's just, awesome."

This week really was incredilbe. It's amazing to see people develop their testimonies and I can develop mine at the same time. This week I finnished the Book of Mormon. Cover to Cover! It was an incredible experience and I can say without a doubt that it is the word of God. We can learn so much from this incredible book and we can develop our own personal testimony. I invite you all to read it, cover to cover, and then pray and ask Heavenly Father if it is true. I can promise you will get an answer.

Love you all so much!!

Rainy, but Happy

My companion sleeping on the train...BOOP BOOP!

Our quick selfie after the temple because it was RAINING!!

Some members treated to an all vegetarian meal! SO MUCH FOOD!

Us trying to stay warm!

From a couple weeks ago when we helped an investigator at her clothing shop!

Hi All!!

Hope everyone is happy and staying warm!! I've been getting reports of rain, snow, and freezing cold from the States so everyone stay warm!

But this week went by pretty fast! It started by going to the temple last week. It was amazing. It was my first time going to the temple here and it was amazing. It's really incredible that we can feel the blessing of the temple all around the world. I was so happy that I could experience it with my amazing trainer, Sister Nielsen! We have so much fun and it's awesome to be able to spiritual experiences together as well.
T
his was a little bit about our week! "IT IS WET. Like ... it's been cold here for some time now, but it's been raining for a solid week in ZhuBei and I'm just always DRENCHED :') It's also had a bit of a DAMPer on the work here too. Currently we have two things holding people from meeting with us 1. The wet and cold. and 2. GUONIAN (a.k.a. Chinese New Year) We literally call people and they say "it's too cold, I don' want to meet today" or "Chinese New Year is coming up and I can't meet until March" .... yep .... that's pretty much our life every day. It's fun though. We're just worried about letting investigators SLIP out of our fingers. The storms are really testing our faith these days, and I'm happy to say that my companion and I just roam around in the rain with smiles and laughter; and if anything, that's one way to share the gospel ! even when people don't want to hear it. It's crazy what a smile can do for someone on a rainy day!"

But other than that, we are loving the work! We have some pretty amazing people we are working with. One of our investigators brought a friends and basically taught her everything she knew about Christ! We have only met with her three times and she is already sharing the gospel with other people! It's actually incredible to see what the gospel can do for someone in a very short amount of time. It really shows that the gospel can bless every single person, no matter who they are!!

Well, love you all and hope you have an amazing week!
